Over the past year, our dedicated founding team at the Emancipation Impact Network has been working to establish ourselves as a nonprofit organization. Our mission is to re-enfranchise individuals intimately affected by incarceration, educate those who aren’t, and collectively work toward abolishing the prison-industrial complex.
Today, we're proud to announce that we're launching our very first initiative – the Peer Pal Project. This project is a testament to our commitment to fostering connections and providing support for individuals impacted by incarceration. We believe in the power of community and solidarity, and this initiative is designed to bridge the gap between those seeking help and those willing to lend a helping hand — whether it's emotional, financial, or some other form of support.
“The Peer Pal Project is more than just a program; it's a lifeline and a beacon of hope for those who have been affected by the prison system. We're putting our hearts and souls into this project, and we firmly believe that it will make a substantial difference in many lives.” Elise Swopes
To expand our mission further and reach more people, we are currently looking for fiscal sponsorship and grant support. These funds will enable us to strengthen our initiatives, reach more people, provide more resources, and ultimately, make a bigger impact.
We're incredibly grateful for the continuous support from our community. Your involvement and encouragement have been instrumental in making these advancements possible. As we embark upon this exciting new chapter, we invite you to join us, share your insights, find support, and help us shape a future where the prison-industrial complex is a thing of the past.
