We’re a group of activists, artists, and community leaders forming the Emancipation Impact Network. Our mission is to re-enfranchise incarcerated and previously incarcerated communities, educate others, and collectively work toward abolishing the prison-industrial complex using technology to amplify our efforts.

We use WhatsApp as our information hub to simplify access to resources for both incarcerated individuals and their communities. Inspired by Derrick Washington's Emancipation Initiative, our central support mechanism is serving as a fiscal sponsor for inside initiatives like Derrick’s. Our first call to action is the Peer Pal initiative, connecting those inside with communication partners outside. We plan to publish narratives and artwork from incarcerated individuals and host future events, workshops, and hackathons to further our mission. Join us on WhatsApp to get involved.
